  • Sugar Cookie Icing Recipe:
I do not recommend premade vanilla icing for these cookies due to stickiness. The recipe below dries nicely and doesn't stick.

2 cup confectioners sugar
1/4 cup warm milk
4 teaspoons light corn syrup
1/2 teaspoon almond extract
green and yellow food coloring
2 soft bristle brushes

Directions: In a small bowl, stir together confectioners sugar and milk until smooth. Beat in corn syrup and almond extract until icing is smooth and glossy. If icing is too thick, add more corn syrup.

Divide into separate bowls, and add food colorings to each to desired intensity. If you are using the deer stencil, the base coat will be green. Wait until base coat dries, place deere stencil on top, and paint the deer yellow with a brush. When you are using the tractor stencil, the base coat will be yellow, and the tractor stencil will be green.
